MELAMPO MEGA is an oversized version of the classic Melampo floor lamp, designed by Vico Magistretti. The Mega variant features a larger, more dramatic shade – a tall, flared cone made of polycarbonate or aluminum – that directs light upward and downward. The stem is a slender metal tube, and the base is a heavy disc for stability. The shade can be adjusted in height and angle, allowing the user to control the light distribution. Melampo Mega uses a high-output LED source (or halogen) to provide both ambient and task light. Its sculptural presence makes it a statement piece for living rooms, studios, or hotel suites. The design is minimalist yet bold, with clean lines and a matte finish (white, black, or silver).
