Lighting Collection Skydro in Artemide Style

Skydro is an Artemide suspension system that redefines ambient lighting with its ethereal, cloud-like appearance. Designed by Ross Lovegrove, Skydro consists of a series of inflated, translucent PVC diffusers suspended from a central canopy. Each diffuser is precisely calibrated to diffuse LED light evenly, creating a soft, floating glow that mimics natural skylight. The structure is lightweight yet durable, with a metallic inner frame that gives shape to the “clouds”.

Skydro is available in various configurations: a single pendant, a linear cluster, or a large composition for open-plan spaces. The diffusers come in white or frosted finishes, and the canopy can be specified in polished aluminum or custom colors. The light source is an efficient LED strip that provides uniform illumination with a warm or neutral color temperature. The effect is ethereal and immersive – ideal for hotel lobbies, airport lounges, conference centers, and modern living rooms. Skydro transforms a ceiling into a luminous landscape, reducing visual clutter while delivering generous ambient light.
