Lighting Collection Castore in Artemide style
Castore is an Artemide suspension system designed by Michele De Lucchi, characterized by its modular, geometric structure. The name Castore refers to the star Castor in the Gemini constellation. The system consists of a central hub (a metal cylinder or sphere) from which multiple arms extend, each ending in a small conical shade. The arms can be oriented in different directions, creating a structure that resembles a “light chandelier” with a contemporary, almost technological aesthetic.
Castore is available in various sizes: from a three-arm pendant to a large eight-arm installation. The arms are made of painted aluminum with flexible joints, allowing the user to adjust the light direction. The shades contain LED modules with warm or neutral light. The central hub is finished in chrome, black, or white. Castore is ideal for dining tables, conference rooms, and lobby areas, providing both direct and indirect light. Its star-like form adds a dynamic, futuristic element to the ceiling.
